The clinical staff of three RDNs includes RanDee Anshutz, Abby Douglas and Lindsey Kelly together they bring over 20 years of expertise in healthcare. This specialty is one of several that Synergy is known for, while the clinic also treats gastrointestinal and kidney disorders, hypertension, eating disorders, body image and weight concerns. Adding the AADE-accredited program to the practice makes Synergy the largest private clinic in Central Oregon to serve those with diabetes. While the purchase was official on May 11, Synergy has been preparing for the additional client load for some time, having added one additional Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) to complete its team of three, and opening a second office location at The Point Building on Simpson, where High Lakes Health Care and other medical practices are located.

I immediately felt a sense of alignment with the prevailing approaches of anti-diet nutrition, intuitive eating practices, and weight inclusive care in this field. This, and looking for ways to improve my performance on the collegiate cross country and track teams, are what led me to choose a career in dietetics. During the dietetic internship that all graduates complete in order to become an RDN, I participated in a rotation at an eating disorder treatment center. I've always loved science, particularly from the angle of how food works in the body and all of the biochemical processes
I graduated with a Bachelors in Biology from the University of WI - Eau Claire in 2015, followedīy a Masters in Nutrition from the University of WI - Stout in 2018. I believe that better health and quality of life come from appreciating the role that mind, body, and soul (AKA thoughts, physical symptoms, and emotions) play in how we interact with food. My general nutrition philosophy is an anti-diet and weight inclusive approach. I believe in the power of a solid therapeutic relationship to support meaningful change, so we'll often talk about other aspects of your life beyond food. I would describe my sessions with clients as relaxed and conversational. I provide virtual nutrition services for Synergy and look forward to connecting!
